The Western Sprint Academy
is the frontline in Australian sprint swimming. It aims to provide
extensive and exceptional training for swimmers who have been
identified as potential sprint athletes.
The Academy was formed by a
select group of coaches and elite athletes dedicated to the art of
sprinting. This enabled coaching staff to focus solely on the
mechanics that make a good sprinter great.
Becoming a member of the
Western Sprint Academy, athletes must first qualify by achieving a
level of scholarship. Athletes will then be offered a place in the
academy as selected by the board of directors. Being accepted should
be considered a great honour as only the elite are accepted.
Gold
Scholarship
A
Gold Scholarship or Life Membership of the academy will be presented
to any member of the Academy who is selected on a senior National
Swimming Team.
Silver

A
Silver Scholarship to the academy will be presented to any member of
the Academy who achieves a minimum Semi-final standard at an
Australian Open Level.
Bronze

the Academy who swims any individual event at an Australian Open
Championship.
